One simple lesson that the autumn in Finland has taught me.

In a world of fast delivery, little waiting, and the easiness of getting what you want when you want it, the seasons in Finland force you to adapt to each one and “thrive or die.” 😂

Each season has its own lesson, but today I’d like to reflect on my favorite season and what it has taught me so far.

Autumn

The art of seizing the moment and letting go.

Fall has always been my favorite, but experiencing it in Finland is something else!

The gorgeous Ruska (Finnish word for the changing colors of the trees) makes it truly magical. I love seeing how slowly everything goes from green to yellow, orange, and red, but what makes me appreciate it even more is not knowing how long it will last and accepting that on any given day, all the leaves could be gone.

If you’re lucky (like we were this year), the snow will come late and the heavy winds won’t start too soon, allowing you to enjoy the show for a little longer.

This time I managed to get some beautiful photos 😍 and I’m so glad I did because after the last ones, the wind started blowing and all you could see were falling leaves.

So as I said, autumn has taught me to seize the moment: despite knowing the darkness is around the corner, it’s vital to enjoy the present and what I have now, but you accepting that sooner or later, I have to let some things go to make room for new and wonderful things, like the rare sunny snowy days 💗

Until next time!
