Dancing lights

Thursday was one of those days when you just feel like rolling into a ball and questioning your existence and life decisions.
School was hard, motivation was low, I was feeling overwhelmed and I didn’t have the energy to deal with the world.

It might have been PMS too, haha.

As happy as I am with my life choices so far, sometimes I can’t help but wonder if should’ve done things differently. Study wise, more specifically.

So I decided to do what I had been avoiding for weeks: write in my journal. It can be scary, you know? To confront yourself and put in writing everything that has been going around your head and face your truth. But as scary as it can be, it’s liberating and it brings so much clarity as well. That’s why I highly recommend it if you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed.

The point is that after writing for a bit and reminding myself that it’s important to enjoy every season of life because they don’t last forever, I felt at peace with where I am right now.

And only a few hours later an alert popped up on my phone and I ran out to the balcony to get this show!

WHAAAT?
I was in awe and overjoyed!!! These amazing dancing lights were right outside my building and I was lucky enough to see them!

A fun fact about auroras is that they look way greener and stronger in photos than in real life. To the naked eye, they usually look more white than green, sometimes you can see a bit purple. Or at least that has been the case with the ones I’ve seen from Tampere, which are softer than in the north, as is not that common to see them from here.

However, what’s fascinating about it, is that you can see the lights kind of slowly dance. They move around the sky, disappearing at times and then coming back strong. Just like my motivation sometimes, hehe.

This made me feel like I was exactly where I needed to be and made me feel happy and hopeful again.

And you know what’s funny? Just a few hours after accepting this slow season of life (where I’m studying more than working/producing), I got an editing gig and the next day a friend called me for a photoshoot. Crazy, huh?

To me, it felt like a reminder from the universe that everything happens at the right time and that I’m very lucky indeed. More than once it has been proven to me that the universe is always listening and granting your wishes, even if you fail to see it at times.

At least I like to see it that way.

How about you? Are you living at least one of your past dreams?

Let’s relax and dance like the northern lights!

Until next time!
